About Me

I began my pelvic health specialty realizing the pelvis is the center of our body. It is often overlooked by practitioners and can be the source of other orthopedic issues such as back or knee pain. Giving birth to my son gave me further appreciation of the importance of pelvic health during pregnancy and post-partum recovery. Over the years, I have helped people with urinary incontinence gain the confidence to leave the house without leaking, helped those with pelvic pain be able to engage in sexual activities or tolerate gynecological exams, and empowered women to take an active role in labor and delivery, and assist with recovery after birth. Seeing the profound impact I can have on people’s lives has motivated me to open my own practice

Having participated in road races and triathlons, I also enjoy working with athletes of all ages, and as a former professional dancer, I have a deep understanding of the unique issues dancers face while training and performing. I have a multifaceted practice, whether it’s assisting those interested in improving their mobility and function so that they can garden or walk, helping athletes overcome pain to participate in sports or supporting dancers in achieving their movement goals.

When I am not working with clients, I am going for walks in the neighborhood with my husband Steve, my son Luca, and dog Watson.

What to Expect

One-on-one 60 minute sessions

First, I take the time to listen to your story and gather a detailed history.

Next, utilizing a whole body approach, I take a look at your posture and movement and complete a detailed exam of the body regions relating to your concerns, including an internal pelvic exam when needed.

Based on my findings, I come up with a customized plan including in-depth education, hands-on care and an exercise plan that is tailored to your unique needs.

Your comfort is important to me. I ensure that you are at ease and feel supported throughout each step of the examination and treatment. This is why I practice ongoing consent, meaning any part of the examination or treatment can be declined. There are many different ways to approach the body and we can always find an alternative method more suited to your needs. Your care is a collaborative process and your input is vital.

  • I saw Virginia for pelvic floor PT after waiting far too long to address this issue after having two kids! Virginia was the perfect person both in skill and personality to work alongside me on such a personal and potentially embarrassing issue. I would recommend her to anyone that wants to get back in control of their urinary health! I feel like I got my life back! Thank you so many times over!
